PAROXYSMAL HEMICRANIA

However, if the attack durations are longer or shorter than normal for most attacks of the patient, cluster headache or SUNCT/SUNA should be considered.

The pain is usually localized around the eye area and is always unilateral. It can also involve the eye, temples or the upper or back of the ear. The character of the pain is described as throbbing, stabbing, sharp or boring. In approximately 10% of patients, residual pain may remain in the form of aching between attacks.
