Prophylactic Dose and Number of Sessions
– 1-2 sessions are recommended at 7-10 day intervals.
Common Indications
– Resveratrol; It is one of the phytochemicals with medical value in many ways due to its anti-inflammatory, antitumor, antiviral, antidiabetic, atheroprotective, cardioprotective, protective against eye diseases, phytoestrogen and life-extending effects. Resveratrol has been observed to suppress serum triglyceride, very low density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein and cholesterol levels in a dose-dependent manner.
– It is known that resveratrol inhibits the cellular events related to the three main steps of carcinogenesis; initiation, proliferation and metastasis by inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis-mediated cell death. In vitro, it has been shown to have a growth inhibitory effect on colon, prostate, breast, lymphoma and leukemia cancer cells.
– It has been shown in various studies that resveratrol can be effective in microcirculation in the fall thanks to its vascular strengthening effects and can help prevent diseases responsible for the prevalence of vision loss worldwide such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma.
– It has been stated in various publications that resveratrol can support healing in diabetic wounds through angiogenesis, exhibit well-organized collagen accumulation, suppress inflammation and prevent scar formation, and resveratrol also has endothelial protective and pro-angiogenic effects.
Side effects
Studies have reported that resveratrol is well tolerated and has no significant toxic effects. At doses of 2.5 g or more per day, side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and liver dysfunction may occur in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. No major side effects have been reported in long-term clinical studies. It has been reported that resveratrol inhibits human platelet aggregation in vitro. High intakes of resveratrol in supplement form may increase the risk of bruising and bleeding when taken with anticoagulant medications, anticoagulant medications, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
